Dramalj and Jadranovo offer other ways to settle along the coast. Before booking, look at the particular beach: entry into the water, shade, facilities and the walk back matter more than the word “beachfront”.

Keep a second kind of day in your holiday. Follow a marked local walk or turn inland towards Vinodol, where the coastline’s history meets the castles and settlements above it. For an easy cultural stop, ask the local information centre what is open on your dates. Crikvenica’s centre is at Trg Stjepana Radića 1c; there are also information points in Selce, Dramalj and Jadranovo.
